2024.

As I sit here and type this out, I genuinely can not believe we are less than two weeks away from 2024. I feel like I blinked 2023 away. Anyone else feel that way?

2023 brought some of the best times, but it also brought some of the hardest times. We welcomed our handsome baby boy, Wade to our family. He is definitely a ham and keeps us on our toes. And although that was one of the best things about 2023, it also brought postpartum issues along with it. Goodness did those rock my (and our) world. I didn’t have any postpartum trouble after B, so I was not prepared for it with W.

I became a full-time stay at home mom towards the end of 2023. I was working from home before, but that contract came to an abrupt end – and just to be honest, shook me to my core. I have never not worked since the day I turned 16. And if you knew me pre-kids, you knew I said I would never be a stay at home mom. (Never say never friends). But we turn lemons into lemonade around here. I let myself grieve for the rest of that week, and by the next Monday I was planning how I can turn this into a business to support my family. So to everyone reading this, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making that possible. Being home with my kids all this time has been a blessing, and I am so thankful that I have been able to do this.

As you know if you follow me on Instagram or Tiktok (shameless plug. Make sure you are following me), I have taken a different direction with my content, and I could not be happier. I plan to continue the shifts into 2024, and to grow even more. Would anyone be interested in seeing what my goals for this business are for next year? It may be cool to do a post about that so I can look back at the end if the year to see what I have accomplished. (all of them. I am accomplishing all of them)

So what is coming in 2024?

Well, more recipes! I cook literally everyday and I want to share that with you. I truly love cooking. Whether it be a quick simple recipe, or a full meal for a holiday – I want to share it all! I also have a new series coming in January that shares how you can stock your pantry for just $5 extra per week. I am pretty excited about this one. I will still be sharing outfits and home decor, and of course daily life. So buckle up. This is going to be a fun ride.

And again, I thank you so much for being here and supporting me. This was a fun hobby before (that I DEFINITELY had on the backburner), but now this is my business that I plan to watch bloom and grow. Your support helps me accomplish that.

So, I will see you in 2024. The year we will make it happen.
